Finally! After days, or even seconds, of browsing, a choice is made. The SHOP NOW button beckons and flashes into view!

Pick a dress, pick a colour and then pick a size. Ah! This last choice is fraught with endless possibilities for error, as sizes aren’t universal across sellers, and my choice is as much a guess as a decision.

It is impossible to pick just one!   Sellers immediately present me with other dresses that match the style of my initial choice, tempting me to buy them too. 

The possibilities are almost overwhelming. But the die is cast and BUY NOW reflects my decisions.

The addictive nature of taking the plunge and actually making a final decision is seductively empowering. I feel in charge of my life and fulfilled in an unexpectedly satisfying fashion. I’m hooked without even realizing it.

What’s next? I return to browsing, of course, and the treadmill beckons as I repeat the process again and again and again.
